About us

Shane Hartley and Lee Joffe, each with more than 30 years experience in planning practice, founded Terra Nova Planning in 2001 and are the firm's Principal Planners. Shane has degrees in Arts and Planning, while Lee is qualified in Earth Sciences and Geography, and has  Master of City and Regional Planning degree. 

       

They have worked together since the 1990s when Shane, the then Rodney District Council’s Forward Planning Manager, and Lee, an independent consultant with international major project experience, worked together on a series of settlement structure plans for many growing townships.
