TNP has and continues to be extensively involved with large planning initiatives in the Marsden/Ruakaka area for a new residential and commercial centre. This includes the Marsden Primary Centre Plan Change to the Whangarei District Plan, providing for a mixed residential density,retail, commercial and light industry community, in place of the previous extensive heavy industrial zoning. Recent developments have seen single housing, retirement village and mixed use commercial activities established.
